Choosing your Korean course level

Korean Explorer uses the two placement forms on this page to help recommend a suitable Korean course.

If you have studied Korean before, use the forms and contact the school before choosing your next level. Completing these school forms is separate from taking the official TOPIK exam.

Use the recommendation to compare the beginner route, intermediate course or TOPIK preparation. Confirm the intake, class format and applicable fees before enrolling.

The placement test has two papers. Start with Paper 1: fill in your contact details and answer the questions. Paper 1 is out of 120. If you score above 96 out of 120, proceed to Paper 2 on this page. Record your score and contact the school for a course recommendation.

Is this the official TOPIK exam?
No. These are Korean Explorer course-placement forms. They help with a course recommendation; they do not award an official TOPIK result or certificate.
What happens after I take the placement test?
The school says it will contact you with suitable Korean course recommendations. Confirm the level, next intake, class format and applicable fees before enrolling.
How does the online Korean placement test work?
